Let’s face it, the peer-reviewed research and the course materials that are highlighted for this week can paint a troubling picture of the “average American client/athlete”.  How we use this information to design individual client/athlete (or team) training programs will determine how successful your clients will be in reaching their long-term health and fitness goals.  

From the readings, please discuss what stood out to you that could potentially inform how you change/improve your professional practices.  As current and future fitness professionals, the importance of this type of information cannot be overstated.  So, feel free to discuss how your community matches up with the statistics for lifestyle disease prevalence & exercise habits that you read about in our resources, along with the importance of community-wide education and exercise programming.
