GRADING RUBRIC:

1. Writing is clear and logically organized. There are few or no grammatical mistakes, clearly the students have proof read their work. Paragraphs make sense individually: they state an idea and provide supporting arguments.

2. The students smoothly tie a real-world phenomenon to the content of the reading.

3. The real-world phenomenon is also analyzed in a critical way: what is lacking in the reading that can be meaningful to appreciate and understand reality?
