outline for technical report with references topic digital security versus private information

Create an outline to be used to write the technical report. Based on the topic you selected, what categories of information should be included in the paper? If you were the reader of the report what would you want to know about the topic? In addition to these considerations, an outline can be created using the information in the articles you have identified.

Include in this document a list of articles you have found so far which you are considering for inclusion in the report. List the URLs and the title of the article. The article list does not have to be APA format for this assignment. After each URL write a one sentence (or very short) summary of the contents of the article. This information will be useful to you as you write your first draft. It will help you to determine where the information in the article fits in your paper outline.

Resources to locate references

Try a general Google search.

Start at Wikipedia and search for your topic. If found, locate the references at the end of the article that might be of use for you.

Information about Google Scholar on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Scholar

Google Scholar is a freely accessible web search engine that indexes the full text or metadata of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines. Released in beta in November 2004, the Google Scholar index includes most peer-reviewed online academic journals and books, conference papers, theses and dissertations, preprints, abstracts, technical reports, and other scholarly literature, including court opinions and patents.[1] While Google does not publish the size of Google Scholar’s database, scientometric researchers estimated it to contain roughly 389 million documents including articles, citations and patents making it the world’s largest academic search engine in January 2018.[2] Previously, the size was estimated at 160 million documents as of May 2014.[3] An earlier statistical estimate published in PLOS ONE using a Mark and recapture method estimated approximately 80–90% coverage of all articles published in English with an estimate of 100 million.[4] This estimate also determined how many documents were freely available on the web.

Other sources of references suggested by Wikipedia

References for your report should include some articles from a professional computer science journal or other professional journals. However, resources can include news articles, articles from any legitimate publication, and even YouTube videos. Find as many references as you can (you always choose not to use them if they are not useful) and look specifically for references that are not older than 4 years; newer is better.
