one paragraph about the experience of not having electronics around for an hour and respond others experiences

You must post one original post of your own, responding to the prompt I post for the weekly forum. Then you must respond to FOUR other student posts. you must respond A TOTAL OF FIVE times (your original plus four replies).

1. Each post MUST BE three or more sentences. This includes your posts in response to other student posts.

2. Each post must be detailed. It is not enough to simply write, “I agree with you” or “I like your idea.” You must say WHY you agree or like someone’s ideas.

3. Write in complete, standard English sentences. Do not “text.” Poorly written posts will not be considered for a grade.

4. If you disagree with someone’s post, politely do so. Explain why you disagree with facts and details.

5. If you agree with someone, build on the ideas.

6. You can reply to someone who had replied to your original post; this will count as another of your required postings for the assignment.

7. Be kind, respectful, and curious toward other students.

8. The instructor reserves the right to delete any post that is offensive, intolerant, or not sufficiently academic for a college-level course.

1. With this activity, you are going to take a break from your phone and reflect. Follow these steps to complete the assignment:

1). You are required to leave your phone behind for ONE HOUR. You can go for a walk, hike, or simply sit outside by yourself. This needs to be time by yourself, without your technology/ phone/ iPad/ computer, etc.

2). How do you experience this time?

The discussion prompt is: Complete this sentence, by creating a topic sentence and developing a full paragraph response as your first post in our weekly discussion.

about 150-200 words

When I took an hour-long technology break, I observed …

2. Response to four Talks about 150-200 words for each.

1). When I was away from the technology for a while, I got myself a cup of coffee in the business district and sat outside. While I was enjoying my coffee and sunshine, I heard the sound of buses stopping at a stop, cars honking, people on their phones bragging or complaining about work. I saw many white collars entering and exiting the buildings. Many unhappy faces, it is easy to tell if one is happy or not just by looking at their faces. I realized that everything in this world is amazing and nobody is truly happy. It is hard to appreciate everything we have, for some reason, it seems like the world owes us a living while it is not. I am so grateful that I am actually still breathing right now.

2).After I left my mobile phone, computer, ipad and other electronic products, I found that the time seemed to slow down. The first ten minutes just started was really boring. Without the electronic products to kill time, or to stay away The troubles they bring are like isolation from the world. I went out and sat on the park bench for an hour outside. I didn’t listen to music with my earphones in my ears. Instead, I heard different sounds, birds singing, people passing by to discuss, and the sound of irritating cars. I can also see squirrels and various birds. It seems that I haven’t carefully looked at the environment around me for a long time. If you have time, be sure to take the time to stay away from electronics and take a good look at this beautiful world.

3). When I took an hour-long technology break, I observed that I can live without my phone for an hour. I also realized that it’s hard to not look at your phone for an hour. For some people, their phone is everything, and they can’t live without looking at the screen to see what someone posts on social media. For me, I can leave my phone behind for an hour because I can go to the gym and just work out there. I’m not really the type of person to be addicted to technology unless I need it. I would rather go outside to walk or workout than being on my phone. There is a lot of things to develop than being on your phone and looking at social media.

4). When I took an hour-long technology break, I observed that I was able to be more productive. During this time, I decided to walk my dog to a local elementary school to play some fetch, and not having to check my phone felt quite refreshing. This gave me time to be alone with my thoughts, while also giving me more of an appreciation for my surroundings. From reflecting on my week, goals, and just being present, were some of the things that I experienced. Participating in this activity inspired me to put away my phone more often to live in the moment. So far, every night this week I’ve kept my phone in a separate room during dinner time and stop checking for notifications after 8 p.m. Even though I do tend to gravitate towards my television and laptop, I still feel a sense of serentity with something as simple as putting my phone away.
