Write a memo to me (200-300 words max) in which you reflect on the process of

drafting and revising your memo on students’ workplace preparedness. This

reflection will help you become more self aware of your writing process and help

you think about what you need to revise.

You will turn in this memo with the second draft of the assignment and peer

reviews. The memo will not be graded, but your assignment will not be complete

without this memo. If the memo isn’t included with the second draft, you will go off

the contract, and I won’t give you feedback.

Organization

Memos are one of the most common forms of professional writing. They are

typically short, used within the office only (an internal form of communication),

focus on one idea, and should be easy to read quickly. Memos typically have a brief

introduction, but only as needed.

Please address the following questions, but do not include the questions in your

memo.

Use headings and subheadings as needed

to help organize your

information and improve the readability of your document.

1. Why did you pick this particular idea and audience?

2. What was your peer group’s response? Was the feedback helpful? Why or

why not?

3. What changes did you make in revision? How did you respond to the peer

feedback? Why?

4. How happy are you with the second draft? What are you still struggling with?
