Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) applies the principles of the Gas Laws to provide effective treatment to a variety of clinical conditions.

1. In your first post:
   • Identify a clinical condition for which HBOT can be used (excluding the bends, carbon monoxide poisoning, or diabetic wounds). Briefly describe this condition and the indication for HBOT.
   • What are the pros and cons of using HBOT for this condition, such as barriers to administration, side effects, contraindications related to other physical issues? Relate the use of this treatment modality to at least one principle of gas laws. Explain.
2. Respond to a minimum of two classmates, addressing the obstacles or barriers that each peer identified. Suggest potential solutions or an alternative treatment from the one they suggested. If you perceive a problem area that your peer did not address, identify it and also provide your rationale as to why you think it could be a problem.
   • In addition to providing constructive feedback to your peers, your posts should include responses to any questions asked, as well as replies.
