On page 29 Beers & Probst state:
“In workshops, we’ve occasionally had teachers tell us that they do not care hoe students respond to a text.” What does responsive reading look like in your content area? Rather than have your students recall “correct” answers, what do you do- or can teachers do- to guide students to “observe, notice, and make sense of what they read?” (p.26).
