Use at least 1 practicum hour to discuss with the classroom teacher your advocacy project and how you will implement it. Also, use at least 1 practicum hour to implement your advocacy project.
Research the following types of projects: personal advocacy, public advocacy, or private-sector advocacy. Choose one to develop and implement.
Write a 750-1,000-word descriptive summary of the project you implemented. Include the following, as adapted from “Advocating for Young Children: A Preservice Teacher Education Project”:
- Description;
- Explanation of the purpose and its importance;
- How it was received;
- What you would do differently next time; and
- What you will do as a teacher to continue this type of advocacy.
Use 2-3 scholarly resources.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the GCU Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
Submit the project and essay to the instructor.
