Description:
Students will write a paper with their final conclusions about their research paper manuscript topic.
Objectives:
- Create a research manuscript about a current social issue applying critical thinking methods learned throughout the course.
- Use the critical thinking and writing technique learned throughout the course to create a final analysis of your research manuscript topic.
Instructions:
You should now have five papers about your research topic:
- Experiences that Influenced a Belief
- Comparing Perspectives
- Exploring the Causes of a Recent Event
- Proposing a Solution to a Problem
- Arguing a Position on a Significant Issue
Taking what you have learned about the topic over the course of the term, write a concluding paper that addresses the following questions:
- How has your perspective on the topic changed since the beginning of the course? How? If not, why do you think it stayed the same?
- What is the most interesting/surprising thing that you learned about your topic since the beginning of the course?
- If you could propose any ‘solution’ to your social problem, what would that solution be?
- How has your understanding of the subject been informed by your research?
- What obstacles did you face during the project? How did you overcome them?
- How did you think Creatively? Curiously? Knowledgeably? Open-mindedly?
- Include any additional comments that you have your topic making sure to include aspects from each of the previously written papers about the topic.
- Include a detailed analysis of your intended audience.
- Complete your final paper
Assignment Submission:
- The use of outside resources is strongly recommended and all papers must be cited and written in APA format.
- Once you have completed the assignment, click the Submit Assignment option in the menu to the right and select a format for submitting your assignment.
- Click the Submit Assignment button when you are ready.
