Write a clearly focused, well-supported, and well-organized paper on the following topic:

Evaluate one source you plan to use for your research topic on the following criteria: how the author argues his or her point, the source’s usefulness, and how you could see yourself using the source’s information in your semester-long research project.

You MUST include at least ONE paragraph that evaluates the source’s author on the basis of his or her credibility (has he or she published material before? Does the author have a professional specialty in the area? Does the article appear in a very well-respected journal?).It may be beneficial to think of how the source you have selected fits into the larger conversation of the topic that you will be investigating.For instance, if you are writing about psychological disorders in children, then you may wish to consider how an article about Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) could fit into the overarching discussion on childhood mental illness or medical over-diagnosis.

Mandatory Requirements

  • No fewer than three full pages, and no more than five full pages.
  • Must be type-written in Microsoft Word.The essay must follow MLA format and be double-spaced.
  • Must be typed in Times New Roman font.
  • Must have a header with your name, the date, and the course title.
  • Must have a title that is centered at the top of the page.
  • Must include a Works Cited page in MLA format.
  • Must be written in a formal tone.No slang or contractions.

Minimum Requirements

  • write a clear, precise, and specific thesis statement that makes your opinionated claim obvious;
  • avoid mere summary; analyze the source critically;
  • express consistent, clear, and well-developed opinions throughout the course of the paper;
  • choose one side to argue—do not be wishy-washy in your approach;
  • incorporate no fewer than 2 and no more than 3 direct quotes from the source into your argument;
  • explain how each example contributes to the point.
