Hello Class,
I do believe that developed countries that are causing the brunt of the pollution need to be globally aware and be able to develop systems to encourage growth and stability in poor developing countries. This would be in areas involving water conservation, waste control, and mitigating climate change driven risks. By providing more quality health care and cleaning up their homes that have been effected by natural disasters. Although this sounds achievable, these countries that cause the pollution cannot solve their internal dialog, divide, and disconnect to volunteer, put in the work, and re-evaluate thoughts on climate change. We have witnessed that poor nations are not able to solve their problems due to insufficient funds. I don’t see greedy, materialistic United States, Trump 2020 giving back for the betterment of the Earth, do you?
I am personally inspired by small business, entrepreneurs, start ups, and big business in general; who realizes that being sustainable is important. Offering alternatives to plastic consumption, transportation, etc. There are endless ways our businesses are able to give back to other countries, let alone better our own polluted, and abandoned cities. It is important that we all look at that larger picture, these countries causing pollution, at the core, don’t want to fix their own problems, Flint, Michigan still suffers from contamination and poor water quality. Is it any wonder why we have not solved this issue yet? While mass shootings are overlooked and climate change ignored. We certainlyy are NOT doing enough.
I don’t think Apple, Walmart, Amazon, Hollywood, the government, or any other business does enough to start the healing process of this incredible divide. I’d love to see more volunteering, donations, and generosity, but I don’t see the fear going away any time soon.

RE: Week 11 | Discussion
My thinking about the global issues we face has not changed, however, my thinking has been furthered as it’s more in debt. I was aware of the huge discrepancies between developing and developed countries but didn’t think about it as much as I’m not personally affected as much because I’m one of the priveledged in a developed, wealthy country. I feel that it’s imporant that all citizens are educated on these issues and there is no longer a blind eye approach. We need to educate and chip in to ensure our globe and the environment is safe for the generations to come as it is not ours to ruin but our responsibility to preserve.
