phil110 discussion
Goal: Students will introduce themselves to the class, reflect about their critical thinking process, and share instances when that process was effective.
Description:
Even if we do not realize it, we use critical thinking all the time to make large and small decisions. These decisions might range from what clothes to wear or what breakfast to eat, what house to buy, what person to marry, how to explain our political affiliation, how to explain Batman vs Superman is a good (or bad) movie, and decide what job and career to go into.
In this week’s forum:
– State in your own words a definition of critical thinking.
– Describe at least two (2) instances where your thinking processes have been very effective. Tell us briefly what the circumstances were, what kinds of decisions needed to be made, how you gathered information, and how things worked out.
– While completing the forum consider the Week 1 trigger questions.
