What is your Biggest Weakness?
As someone who cares about people’s health situation, it has always been difficult for me to watch patients suffer. Throughout my life, I have always felt happy when volunteering and supporting people. I have always struggled to be over with the patients, but I believe it is my passion. However, as a health care provider, I have learned that that is my role, and while I don’t distance myself from work, I always remind myself that that is the nature of work in the industry and try to make my patients as comfortable as I could.
Describe how you resolved a conflict with a co-worker or patient?
Resolving a conflict requires that I should first readjust my attitude for the resolution situation. This means that I need to listen to the complaint without being defensive and do my best to resolve it. Secondly, I can also try to move the confrontation away to a private place about complications and interruptions to the rest of the healthcare providers’ patients. If the complaint were from the patient, I would continue to treat with professionalism and courtesy and then take the complaint to the higher up. Unless the complaint made is unreasonable or goes beyond my work boundaries, I can accommodate it (Choudhary, 2018).
Tell me about yourself?
I have a passion for helping people, so nursing feels like a natural fit, not just a healthcare career. In the past three years, I have worked in the industry, and I have always been committed to caring and advocating for my patients. In the last role in the health care provider services, I worked in the children’s wing, where one of the parents told me that her daughter always looked forward to my visits. A People person, I would say it’s me; I love working with others. As much as I strive to work independently and complete my responsibilities, I also enjoy being a part of the more considerable effort to deliver excellent care services and work in a group setup.

The biggest weakness I have experienced during the interview process is seen myself in a five-year period because It is not easy for me to know what I will find during this lapse of time that will change my mind because I love all nursing fields.
If I have to say what I would love to do in a five-year period, I definitely will say education community and patients to prevent most of preventable diseases because despite we talk a lot about this topic in a real life there is a limited time for an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to this crucial task because are more focus in treating patient’s medical conditions but don’t have enough time to educate patient appropriately.
How I resolve conflict with a co-worker or a patient
I consider myself a teamwork person I always try to see the situation from the other person perspective “putting myself in the other person’s shoes” that’s why I believe that one of my biggest strengths is try to avoid a conflict as much as possible or if there is conflict finding a solution that is fear for every part involved in this conflict so far this strategy have work very well for me because most of the time everyone have part of the true and my position is to unify everyone’s criteria and find the way to solve the problem.
Despite I manage a conflict with a patient in the same way I believe patient’s conflict are harder to manage because sometimes patient’s conflict involves ethic issues that cannot be resolve easily; I believe that as an APRN we have to identify when a patient conflict can be resolved without trespassing our ethical regulations.
I think in both scenarios co-worker or patient conflict we have to implement many strategies to try to resolve the conflict listening, empathy, open mind (not stereotype), do not take the situation personal, not to take advantage of the hierarchy position, keep cool mind, be honest (do not to omit intentional or unintentional any undesirable true about the conflict), providing realistic solutions, being firm but not disrespectful with others, finding a middle person to mediate if necessary (Harding et al, 2018) and many other factors
More about Myself
I always say to people that I was born to be a healthcare provider I never had any doubt what to do in my entire life I don’t know but I believe that I did not select this profession I feel that this profession chose me because even when I don’t know people and I have not say any word many people ask me are you healthcare provider when that’s happen to me I feel more committed to continue doing what I’ve doing for more than 30 years.
What surprise me the most is that my passion, my motivation my topics of interest in this field have not changed. All the skills that I have gained during this lapse of period always find my priority continue being the patient.
Wherever I have worked I always act the same because despite the environment may change what have not changed is my vocation for this field in any of the areas clinical, educational and research.
